Just for Teachers
Teacher Loans
The library provides supplementary books to teachers in the Stoneham schools. Homeschoolers, daycare centers and pre-schools in the town of Stoneham may also request teacher loans. A teacher loan is a collection of library books that may circulate for four weeks and is made available for classroom use. Teachers are personally responsible for all materials in the teacher loan collection. Teacher loan collections may be selected by either the librarian or the teacher. Stoneham staff request that loans are requested at least five working days in advance of the pick-up date. Requests are made in person or by telephone, email or fax. Click here for a request form. Class Assignments
Educators are encouraged to send their upcoming assignments to the library so that we might prepare for student's needs. An Assignment Alert form can be downloaded by clicking here or teachers may call the Junior Room directly to discuss their projects. Please keep in mind, the more notice we have, the better able we are to serve you.
Group Visits
Group visits and library tours can be arranged for classes. Please contact the library to request a Class Visit Form. A staff member will confirm the information and help you to determine which type of visit is best suited to your needs. Any groups needing to check out library materials must bring their cards with them. Teachers may pick up library card applications for any students requiring a new or replacement card prior to the visit. If the applications are returned at least 48 hours before the visit, all cards will be ready in time for the tour.
